Sacrifice Sunday is March 29
Coastal Community Christian Church is on the verge of
making an historic move – and you are invited to be a
part of it! On Palm Sunday, March 29, we will join
together to wipe out the debt on our new church property.
This will mark a new chapter in the history of our church,
one that you will not want to miss.
The outstanding balance is only $27,000, a small portion
of the original purchase price of $465,000 for 15 beautiful
acres along Harris Trail Road. So many of God’s people are
to be commended for the generous contributions they have
made to this project. Our goal is to pay off the property so
that we may enter into the next phase – property
development – with no debt. We believe this represents
wise stewardship for our church and our leaders.
Why pay off the debt now? Because after April 10, any outstanding portion of the loan will need to be refinanced. This will result in additional finance fees and interest. And it will delay our efforts to move toward building a new facility on the property.
We know from scripture that the support we offer to the cause of Christ and His kingdom here on earth affords others the opportunity to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; we are laying up treasure for ourselves as a firm foundation for the coming age (1 Timothy 6:17-19). We pray that those prospects inspire you to be a faithful steward of all that God has entrusted to your care.
Is the Holy Spirit urging you to give a portion of your tax refund? Have you received an unexpected “blessing” that you can share? Thank you for prayerfully considering how God would have you support this project.
In His name,
Mark Snavely
